Malcolm Ryan is the chocolatier behind Rhuby. The name, “Rhuby” came about when Malcolm first launched the chocolates with a the hero ingredient being Tasmanian grown rhubarb. Malcolm grew an extraordinary variety on his family farm and realised a need to reinvigorate the humble rhubarb stem. He knew that there could be no better pairing than with chocolate, so quickly set to work.
Using Barry Callebaut chocolate, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality, sustainable chocolate, Malcolm created his unique Tasmanian-made chocolate-coated rhubarb delights.
Due to the success of the original Rhuby Delights, Malcolm has been busy bringing about Rhuby Creations – a wide selection of crunchy fruits, coated in the same premium dark chocolate. The different varieties include strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants, sultanas and rhubarb.
