Indulge in chocolate-dipped strawberries for dessert or as part of a romantic picnic.

Ingredients
100g good-quality dark chocolate, roughly chopped
400g strawberries, rinsed and dried thoroughly
30g white and/or milk chocolate, roughly chopped (optional, for drizzling)
Method
Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
Place the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Set the bowl over a small saucepan of gently simmering water, making sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Stir occasionally until melted.
Alternatively, melt it in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring in between, until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into a small deep bowl for easy dipping.
Hold each strawberry by the leafy top and dipinto the melted chocolate. Let any excess drip off, then place onto the baking paper. If you have leftover chocolate, pour it onto a separate piece of baking paper to set — you can chop and reuse it later.
Melt the white or milk chocolate the same way and drizzle lightly over the dipped strawberries for a decorative finish.
Let the chocolate set at room temperature (or pop them in the fridge for 10–15 minutes if you’re short on time). Best enjoyed fresh on the day.
