At Salamanca Fresh we carry an enormous range of products. Wherever possible we like to source locally, and we have fantastic relationships with our Tasmanian farmers. When our beautiful Tasmanian climate won’t accommodate, we get our fresh produce from further afield in Australia. And what would life be without a little indulgence? So we also source premium deli and grocery lines from even further afield!
‘From Us to You’ is about introducing you to our wider family – the farmers, producers and suppliers that Salamanca Fresh and SHV Wholesalers have built relationships with over the last 20 years and who help fill our shelves with amazing, delicious FRESH produce at each of our stores.

At Salamanca Fresh we select every piece of lamb & beef you see in our displays. We select our stock live so we are truly delivering on the “paddock to plate concept”. We know where it comes from; we know what it grazes upon so we can truly deliver outstanding freshness direct from us to you!
Salamanca Fresh stock only the best quality and of course the freshest meat possible. We strive to source locally grown livestock, from Scottsdale Pork, Nichols Poultry, Lamb from Sheffield Tasmania and our cattle from Northern Tasmania. We know that you demand quality and we’ll hit the mark every time, guaranteed!
At Salamanca Fresh we are very proud to say we make our own gourmet sausages in-house. You really have to try our “famous” (we think it is) BEER sausage, we also make a sensational Pork & Fennel sausage and you can’t go past our traditional home made Curry sausage.
Do you know we stock artisan and boutique cheeses from around the world and yes you can try every one of them before you make your selection; We source local, interstate and internationally to bring you the best range of cheeses you will find in Tasmania. At Salamanca Fresh we love our cheese, have you seen our cheese wheels? We can even recommend how to prepare or cook the speciality cheeses we offer. Have you seen the range of stuffed olives we have? We love our stuffed olives and they are all done by hand. If you’re thinking antipasto, Salamanca Fresh has the answer, fresh from our growers to you every day. Delicious mouth-watering prosciutto; try our Australian prosciutto versus the “real” Italian prosciutto, only at Salamanca Fresh.
Have you ever wondered where those fresh deli meals and salads come from every day? Well they are cooked and packed in our very own kitchens! We have a talented team of chefs and cooks who work hard to provide our customers with a variety of delicious lunches, dinners and snacks, freshly made every day.
Our very own trucks go to Tully and drive onto the banana plantation. There we load up our trucks, then they are locked with a really BIG padlock. Our truck drives down the Nth QLD highway heading for home; 3 days and we’re in Melbourne and then onto the boat, ready to cross the Bass. Within 48 hours of getting on the boat that truck pulls into our wholesale business to unload those beautiful Queensland bananas. Did you know our Bananas are then personally ripened here in Hobart by some of our family members!! On completion of nurturing our Bananas with some T.L.C through their ripening process, out our delivery truck goes straight to Salamanca Fresh for you to eat. You can’t get any more direct than that from paddock to plate.
