Forager Risotto

Forager Food Co Risotto varieties are made in Tasmania, natural ingredients, such as Tasmanian grown mushrooms. With a range of different flavours to choose from, these tasty packs can be stored in the pantry, for a simple, wholesome, easy-to-prepare meal.

  • 1 x 300g packet Forager Risotto Rice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove (or 1 tsp) minced garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp small onion, diced
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • 1L chicken or vegetable stock
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, to serve


  1. In large a pan, heat the butter and extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Add the garlic and onion and saute.
  3. Add the risotto mix, then slowly pour in the cup of wine (can be substituted for water) and the chicken or vegetable stock. Stir constantly to allow the rice to absorb moisture.
  4. Cook for approximately approximately 20 minutes.
  5. Season and add Parmesan cheese.
