Homemade Apple Chips

When apples abound, it's the perfect time to make apple chips! This simple recipe uses just 2 ingredients and your oven.

  • 3 large eating apples
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon


  • Preheat oven to 110 degrees C.
  • Wash and core the apples (this step can be skipped if you are happy to remove the seeds later).
  • Slice the apples horizontally into very thin rounds and place flat on baking trays. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the slices
  • Bake in the top and/or bottom racks of the oven for 1 hour.
  • Remove from the oven, flip apple slices over and put back in the oven for another 1 – 1.5 hours.
  • Enjoy!
