Nut-Free Bliss Balls

Nut-free, dairy free, refined sugar free bliss balls with a gluten-free option. This yummy bliss ball recipe is packed full of energy and goodness and makes a wonderful lunchbox recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 medjool dates, pitted and soaked
  • 1 cup of desiccated coconut
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 3 tbsp pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp cacao

Method

  1. Grind up the seeds and oats in a food processor to make the combining of the mixture easier.
  2. Drain your soaked dates, and pop them along with all of the other ingredients in your food processor, process to combine. Add a little water or more coconut oil to help combine if necessary.
  3. Roll into balls and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Easy peasy!

These make an excellent lunchbox filler, perfect for easing the kids back into the swing of things!
Try with orange zest for a Jaffa Flavor
GLUTEN FREE OPTION: You can easily take the oats out to make these gluten free. You probably don’t need to replace them with anything, if the mixture seems a bit too wet, just add some more ground seeds or coconut.
