This homemade paté recipe is so simple, yet the flavours are rich and absolutely addictive. Serve alongside a cheese platter, as a spread on warm toast, wraps and sandwiches or with crackers and sliced fresh vegetables for a healthy snack.

150g smoked salmon
200g cream cheese
1 tbsp créme fraîche
juice of half a lemon
finely grated rind of half a lemon
small bunch of dill, or parsley or chives, chopped
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to season
Roughly chop the salmon into small pieces and place into a food processor.
Add in the cream cheese, créme fraîche, lemon juice and rind, salt and pepper (to taste) into the processor and pulse until combined. Pulse for longer for smooth pate or less for a more textured result.
Stir the herbs into the mixture and spoon into a serving bowl.
