Traditional Mustard and Orange Glaze

A traditional ham can be hard to beat, so here is a traditional glaze to keep it tender and flavoursome.

Bastes a whole leg of ham


  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard or whole-grain
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice, fresh
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup, pure
  • 3/4 cups Orange marmalade
  • 1 Salt and black pepper
  • ½ t ground ginger


  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and stir together
  2. Heat gently whilst stirring until all warmed together.
  3. Remove from heat and baste ham as it cooks.
