- Put the lemon juice and water into a small saucepan, cover with a lid and bring to a simmer over a medium heat.
- Add the grated ginger, cloves and cinnamon and simmer with the lid on for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat, but allow to infuse in the saucepan for another 5 minutes.
- Strain and pour into a two mugs or glasses.
- Add the squeeze of orange juice and the turmeric (if using) to each cup before serving.
