Pork Sausage Rolls

This simple crowd-pleaser from pork.com.au is so easy and can be served with a fresh green salad and home made tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 10 Ziggys Irish Pork Sausages
  • 5 sheets puff pastry, frozen
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Sesame seeds to garnish
  • Easy Tomato Sauce

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200C. Using a sharp knife, slice sausages through the centre to split skin (do not cut all the way through).
  2. Cut each sheet of puff pastry in half.
  3. Place each sausage on the edge of each piece of pastry and roll to enclose. Brush the edge with a little beaten egg to seal.
  4. Carefully cut each sausage into two or three pieces and place onto a paper lined baking tray.
  5. Brush the surface of the of each pork sausage roll with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake the pork sausage rolls in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until rolls are puffed and golden. Remove and serve hot.
