Tasmanian winter brings an abundance of local apples, pears, lemons and freshly harvested vegetables, with farms supplying Salamanca Fresh stores directly. It is the season for hearty dishes that make the most of produce like broccoli, pumpkins, kale, leeks and rhubarb.

Well Winter has well and truly arrived – car windscreens are icing over in the morning and the fireplaces are cranking! While most of the fruit trees have closed up shop for the winter, apples, pears and lemons are thriving in our Tasmanian climate! You’ll find the local apples and pears to be absolutely sensational at the moment and the prices in stores reflect their abundance.
An enormous array of vegetables absolutely thrive in our beautiful climate. Our local farms are very busy harvesting all sorts of vegetables to be delivered directly to our Salamanca Fresh stores.
